Doodlage

The fashion industry is one of the largest polluters in the world, contributing significantly to environmental degradation. Consumers are increasingly seeking ethical and sustainable options, but many brands fail to provide that at affordable prices. There’s a growing demand for fashion that not only looks good but also does good. At Doodlage, we tackle these challenges head-on. For the past decade, we have created desirable clothing primarily from factory waste, turning excess materials into innovative fashion pieces. Recently, we’ve expanded our offerings to include garments made from organic and recycled materials, all handwoven by fairly paid artisans across India. As we scale, we hope to build the largest takeback program in India to help close the loop in a country where there still is no garment waste collection system.

Ka-Sha

At Ka-Sha, we use clothing as a medium to celebrate hand-crafts. We view our work as a celebration of life and all that we see and seek around us. Drawn to artisanal techniques, new and old, we often translate these in our work. People,

stories, journeys and perspectives are at the core of our inspiration. Each piece is crafted in natural fabrics, hand-dyed and crafted with love since 2012.

Our need to be a label that adapted its waste in a functional system led us to Heart To Haat, our sisterhood, inspired by the indigenous ideology of reusing, repurposing and reclaiming. Here we up-cycle, recycle and mend clothing and textiles of all shapes and sizes drawing from techniques of craft through innovation.

LOVEBIRDS

Run independently and collaboratively by Gursi Singh and Amrita Khanna, 'Lovebirds' makes clothes for women that focuses on ethos rather than trends and makes quiet, mature acts of norm-breaking, one dress at a time. Functionality, timelessness, modernity and playfulness are the inherent elements that we believe in as a brand and therefore ignite the foundations of each collection. Transparent and accountable in our process, the clothes are made with clean lines, elegant forms and refined proportions focusing on relaxed tailoring that effortlessly combines menswear detailing with a feminine sensibility. Drawing inspiration more from architecture, graphic design, vintage fashion and less from the latest runway trends, the brands approach has always been more qualitative rather than quantitative that keeps their garments relevant at all times and seasons. It aims to create garments that adapt to an individual’s personality and marry into their wardrobe, offering something unique, understated, sophisticated and intellectual.
